Super easy to assemble, once you figure out which side you want the opening on. Not sure why there's any complaints about assembly; I'm middle aged woman and I was able to put it together by myself with a screw driver. It's particle board material but it's good quality. I didn't use the drawer b/c I don't need it and my cat is large so I left enough room for him. The plastic liner is snaps together; it slides in and out and makes it easy to pull the box out to scoop. I saw a complaint that the liner box was cheap - it does NOT have sealed corners. Your cat shouldn't be peeing in the liner itself anyway. If they're peeing over the edge of their litter box, that's the cat's issue, not the quality of the overall wooden litter box. Our friends were highly impressed with this piece in our entry hall!

Had it for a bit and it has been fantastic. It took about 30min to assemble and the instructions could be better. However just take your time and don't lose patience. The box the litter actually fits in is under everything. If you don't look under the last styrofoam sheet you may throw it away. Otherwise works great. My cat, who is 20lbs and over 20in (if you don't count his tail), loves it! No odor at all. I got the espresso. I spray painted the knob gold for a pop of color

I love this and our kitty does too. It is like parking a buick in your home and I'm not crazy about the shiny finish but I have assembled 2 of these with no problem as it is quite light weight. I plan on refinishing mine so it is a little more attractive. I do wish they made the extra large in the grey.

I can't really speak to the assembly as I had my Handiman put it together for me, but it looks very nice, is super sturdy and spacious enough for my oversized litter box. As you can see from the photo, they fur babies like sitting on top of it, too.

This little hutch went together easily (my teen daughter put it together herself... even though she had redo it after putting it together wrong), and it looks great. You'd never know it was a cat box holder unless you saw the cat sand around it. And no, the little wood ramp doesn't help... it'll get a 2 star rating.Even with the largest possible box inside, my dumb cats still go in, hang their butts over the edge and pee OUT of the box and INTO the cabinet. Sigh.So I think this really REQUIRES a covered box inside.At the very least, they should recommend a covered litter box be used inside. Maybe partner up with some of the manufacturers to say, "Hey! And THIS cat box fits PERFECTLY inside our cabinet!" instead of leaving us to our own devices trying to find ones that work well. :PBut I'm still glad I bought it...

I think this litter box is very nice. I had to get it after my dog was stealing cat poop. I was going to put it in my bathroom. I did measure, but I didn't account for the fact my cat had to actually get into it. So the only place I had left to fit it was in my bedroom. I was very nervous about it because I didn't want my bedroom to smell like cat dooty. I have a closed litter box inside this box. I have not yet smelled anything. Thank god! My husband put the litter box together. He said it wasn't hard to put together, but the instructions weren't great.

    Best thing Ever ... Don't waste your time/$ w anything else

    I’m ordering the XL deluxe version now and had to write something … This is probably my third or fourth one. I don’t know if I’ve written a review yet… But a note about the liner that comes with it. A lot of people are complaining but it’s actually a lifesaver … and if urine gets on it I take it into the bathtub and wash it with vinegar and dry it outside. I’ve done this so many times. Thanks Refined Feline!!!!

    I LOVE THIS!

    I’ve had this for almost 4 years now, and it is still great! I love the fact that you can get a replacement liner, as they get a little difficult to clean after time. I just replaced the liner a month ago after having it for 3 1/2/+ years. It was fairly easy to assemble and works wonderfully for an apartment w/o a ton of room for a litter box. area.

Yes, we do sell charcoal litter box filters that are made to fit this litter box enclosure.

Is the litter liner leak proof?

The purpose of the internal litter liner is to contain litter as the cat kicks it up. It will also help contain urine from cats who miss the litter tray. However, it is not waterproof as the corners are not sealed. You may seal the corners yourself with waterproof tape if your are concerned about urine leaking.
